- I am working on a Thesis at RYERSON UNIVERSITY, Toronto Canada. The goal is to provide developers working in virtual teams (distributed teams, very much like in the open source process!) with a set of tools supporting their activities as Software Engineers and all the implications. This project interfaces (we could say it overlaps) with the EDOS project in which Mandriva is strongly involved. And that is the reason I am here, writing this...
- I worked as a high school teacher (I taught basically everything from French to computers, and from big ones to little ones)
- I am currently working for Mandriva on the EDOS project
- I packaged a few things, one of these is the GNU Source Installer. A nice package!
- I gathered information about the Cooker process
- I am currently working on gathering mirror metrics to make them available in real time (EDOS task, widely shared interest)
- I look at the process as a pipeline and I try to define view points
- view points are data sources of interest for a Mandriva developer/user
- view points must be published in real time and they should give the user the ability to take the pulse of the process at any level
- I am gathering more information about Eclipse and the GCJ
- Writing an application to gather data about the Mandriva mirrors
