Mandriva Kiosk Lite Beta FAQ

About Mandriva Kiosk Lite Beta

Mandriva Kiosk Lite is a first version of Mandriva Kiosk, a web-based one-click software installation service for Mandriva Linux distributions. All Mandriva Club members (Silver and above) are invited to try this new service, now in BETA-tests stage.

This service, and all available software brought together and tested in the form of Bundles, were designed to be the simplest way to expand your Mandriva Linux distribution. Simply go to the Start page, choose a bundle, and follow the signs :)

Keep in mind that Mandriva Kiosk Lite is in Beta-testing, so we cannot guarantee that everything will work flawlessly. Consult the "What is required to use Kiosk Lite" and PerBundleFAQ before you start.

What is required to use Kiosk Lite BETA?

  • an Internet connection (broadband is a plus);
  • a valid Silver or above Mandriva Club membership;
  • Mandriva One or Mandriva Linux 2006.0 Official (Community and devel NOT supported!)
  • the latest releases or urpmi, rpmdrake, mdkonline and gurpmi, available HERE
  • Mozilla Firefox (1.0.6 and above) or Konqueror (3.4.2 and above);
*Warning:* Kiosk Lite is in BETA stage. Proceed with caution.
