Mandriva Linux 2007 Alpha available

 The first alpha of Mandriva Linux 2007, codenamed "Frige", is now available. This first alpha is built as a Mandriva One-style single CD image, allowing you to test the release without needing to install it to your hard disk. Of course, installation is also possible using the easy One installation wizard. There are four different versions of the alpha available - one KDE and one GNOME image each for both i586 and x86-64 architectures.

 Mandriva launched 2 contests this summer for artists who would like to contribute their works to the Mandriva Distribution. The goal is to get artists and free software communities closer. Mandriva users will of course benefit from those works but there are also some nice prizes for the winners!

Après avoir dépouillé la centaine de réponses que nous avons reçues nous publions aujourd'hui le résultat : 3,7,4,2,8,6,1,5,9 Le travail débutera à partir du mois de juillet, Nous débuterons donc notre travail par l'idée n°1 : Amélioration de la plateforme de téléchargement. Les premiers éléments visibles devraient donc être mis en ligne sur le Club en Août ou Septembre.
